Honey Blog for Honey Lovers!

Years ago, when I was a kid, my mother used to quote Winnie-the-Pooh and say:

It's very, very funny
'Cos I know I had some honey;
'Cos it had a label on,
Saying HUNNY.

And to this day, I still say that little rhyme to myself. Now, I don't know if that is what started my love of honey. Or maybe it was how cute Pooh looked with his head stuck in the jar. In any event, hunny, or honey came to be one of my very favorite things too and the reason for writing this blog.

When I travel, go to the grocery store, head to a farmer's market, or drive out to the country, I search for new honeys. I love honeys. And for those who appreciate honey as much as I, you will agree that it is with delightful expectation that you open a new jar in anticipation of the bouquet of flavors you will find in the pot.

Recently, I have been trying many local honeys - I am from South Florida and we have quite a few - and many other honeys from places far and near, including Colorado, Georgia, Vermont, France, Germany, Africa, Italy, New Zealand, and Canada, to name a few.

I will share my impressions of various different honeys and let you know where I got them, but also, I would love to hear from other honey lovers who have discovered the "perfect" honey. Also, anything honey related is fair game on this blog: honey history, recipes, facts, fiction, medicinal uses, beauty uses, you name it... Whatever strikes your honey fancy. This is a forum for honey lovers of the world to unite!
